About Our Scouting System

Our scouting system is designed to collect important match data about other team's robots during competitions. Each scouter observes a specific robot throughout the match, recording crucial information about their autonomous performance, teleop capabilities, climbing mechanisms, and strategic gameplay. This data helps our strategy team make informed decisions during alliance selections and when coming up with different strategies before each match.

How The Scouting Site Works (Offline App Version)

Scouters fill out the form on their phone — no signal needed. Submitting instantly generates a QR code containing that match's data.

Back at the pit or stands, whoever is running the laptop scans each scouter's QR code with a webcam-based scanner (or any QR scanner app), which pastes the data straight into a row of the Google Sheet. Nothing has to reach the internet in the moment it's collected — the QR code is the transfer mechanism.
